What is bespoke?
Bespoke is custom-made jewellery to suit an idea or request, from gemstone and metal choice to the type of casting. Nowgem Jewellers turn an idea into a reality, transforming over time into a valued keepsake. We believe bespoke is the way of the future in jewellery design, and all our creations are mindfully designed and crafted using Sri Lanka’s (Ceylon) finest gemstones in white, rose & yellow gold and metal materials. 1. Initial Consultation
Book an appointment to speak directly with our team to discuss your idea or fill out a Custom Design Inquiry form if you understand what it is you require. In our initial consultation, we will discuss stones, metals, budget, and timeframes.
2. Gemstones & Design Concept
Through photos and videos, we will provide a choice of 1-3 ethically sourced gemstones from our collection to suit your budget. Each stone will come with a quote and timeframe for selection. A deposit may be required to secure the gemstone of your dreams for your design. A basic agreement will also be required.
3. Design Finalisation
Once the design direction is clarified, we create a CAD drawing to reflect your idea. This is where any final adjustments are discussed and made before commencing with production. Upon approval, your design is then hand-crafted by our expert jewellery designers. You will be shown photos of the progress as time goes on so you are well informed throughout the entire design process.
4. Production
As soon as the design is finalised, production typically takes 6-8 weeks to complete. Your design is brought to life and cast by our metal refinery in your choice of metal – typically 9ct, 14ct gold, 18ct gold or platinum.
5. Finishing
Your piece is then polished, finished and stones set by hand. You will receive photos of the finished piece and delivery arrangements can be made, either secure postage or courier is available.
